So this year for the 4th, I went to the infamous Ginnie Springs that my friends had been telling me about for a while. Located just north of Gainsville, Ginnie Springs is both a destination for families and college goers. This also happens to be the place where Zephyrhills gets their water from. There is really no way to describe how awesome and perfect the springs are, other than with a picture… and I think this picture is the perfect picture to sum it up.

The springs are connected to a river, that you can and probably will float down in inner tubes or what ever floating craft you can manage. It is a natural lazy river. Also you can camp at the springs, but good luck if your going for a camping spot on the waterfront around holidays because it gets PACKED!

It is definitely the definition of the American Tradition for a 4th of July weekend… hangover nonincluded.
